Hon. Olakanle Oladotun is a dedicated and visionary leader, committed to bringing positive change to Onigbongbo LCDA. Born and raised in our vibrant community, he has a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of our residents.

His educational journey reflects his commitment to excellence and knowledge. He began his primary education in Agege, Lagos State, and concluded it at Kagoro Road Primary School, Kaduna, Kaduna State. His secondary education took place at the Community Secondary School, Egbeda, Kwara State, where he obtained his West African Examinations Council (WAEC) certification in 1987.

He continued to pursue his academic aspirations at the Institute of Basic and Applied Sciences, successfully completing his 'A' levels and sitting for the IJMB Exams in 1989. His quest for knowledge led him to Lagos State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Sociology with Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in 1996.

In the pursuit of higher education, the exemplary leader earned a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Lagos State University, Agege Campus, in 2014. Presently, he is a master's student studying International Relations at the prestigious University of Ibadan.

In recognition of his commitment and service, he has received numerous awards, including the Society ICON Award (SIA) in grassroots governance by NIJ in 2014. He has also been honored with the Merit Award of Service by Tunwase School PTA in 2017 and the Distinguished Role Model Merit Award of Honour in Awori Land by GBA Communications Limited in 2018.

International Exposure and Professional Development:

His commitment to growth and development extends beyond our local community. He has participated in international conferences and joined prestigious institutes, expanding his horizons and bringing valuable insights back to Onigbongbo LCDA.

A Career Dedicated to Service:

Before assuming the role of Chairman, he gained valuable experience working in various public and private sector roles. This experience has equipped him with a unique perspective on community development and governance.

A Family Man:

In addition to his remarkable career and community involvement, the visionary leader is a devoted family man. He is married and a proud father of three children, exemplifying the values of family, unity, and community that he promotes in his leadership.
